Seeding Interpretation

This page explains how the system interprets Previous Swim Score and Previous Run Score during import.

Any of the following are treated as “unknown” and are safe:

If no usable data is provided, the competitor is handled safely and can still be scheduled.

Previous Swim Score – how it is read

The system first decides what kind of value you entered, then converts it into swim seed points if possible.

If the system can calculate seed points from the raw input (previous swim score), those points are used for banding.

Previous Run Score – how it is read

As with swim, the system determines whether the value represents a time, points, or a declared band.
